Dr. Thakkar completed his MBBS training from the premier Seth GSMC & KEM Hospital, Mumbai. This was followed by a Masters in Pulmonary Medicine from Sawai Man Singh Medical College, Jaipur; one the best Pulmonary Medicine Departments in India. He further trained in Interventional Bronchoscopy at Cape Town, South Africa under the able guidance of world-renowned bronchoscopist, the late Prof. C.T. Bolliger. He has also worked as an Assistant Professor in the Pulmonary Medicine departments at KEM Hospital & Sion Hospital at Mumbai. A research enthusiast, Dr. Thakkar frequently publishes his scientific work in reputed national and international journals.
